The Market Basket of the Month program launched in area school districts during the 2009-2010 school year. Each month the schools were provided with a newsletter for sharing with students and their parents. The newsletter includes facts about the month's featured fruit or vegetable, tips for using it, a recipe, activity suggestions and more.
