York Revolution baseball team visits WellSpan rehabilitation patients as they kick off the new season

The York Revolution baseball team – including team mascot, Downtown – visited rehabilitation patients and their loved ones at WellSpan Surgery & Rehabilitation Hospital Tuesday morning. Patients and players interacted and engaged in exercises that therapists and team members use to support patient recovery.

WellSpan has proudly been the Official Healthcare Provider of the York Revolution since the team's founding in 2007 and expanded the relationship to serve as Official Sports Medicine Provider beginning in 2012.

Beginning this season, the health system became the title sponsor of what is now known as WellSpan Park. WellSpan also offers sports medicine programs in support of numerous school districts, colleges, and community clubs across South Central Pennsylvania.

WellSpan Surgery & Rehabilitation Hospital offers life-saving services that include:

  • Advanced orthopedic, spine, and neurosurgical surgeries.
  • Acute inpatient rehabilitation for those who have a serious physical injury or disorder.
  • Specialized outpatient rehabilitation to support patients who have returned home but require ongoing therapy following an amputation, brain injury, concussion, spinal cord injury, or stroke, as well as patients living with various neurological conditions or movement disorders.
