WellSpan Health officials have cut the ribbon on the newest WellSpan Family Medicine practice at 3193 Cape Horn Road in Red Lion.
The practice, which opened on Tuesday, Sept. 3, is an extension of WellSpan Family Medicine in Dallastown. Physicians and staff rotate their schedule and treat patients at both locations, providing easier access to care for patients.
"WellSpan is always looking for ways to provide care as close to home as possible," said Thomas McGann, M.D., executive vice president for clinical practice, WellSpan Health. "Our Dallastown patients now have the option to see their doctor in Red Lion if that's more convenient for them. It’s about giving the patient the choice."
The WellSpan Family Medicine practice on Cape Horn Road has nine exam rooms and one procedure room. It is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. The practice also offers walk-in hours from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The Red Lion practice offers a full range of primary care services for patients of all ages, including preventative care, annual physical exams, women's healthcare, treatment of short-term illness, flu shots and immunizations. The practice is accepting new patients with two new physicians joining the practice this fall.
