WellSpan Family Medicine at 1401 Roosevelt Ave. in York has completed a major expansion to meet the growing needs of patients in the western part of York County.

The practice, just off Route 30 (Loucks Road), has more than doubled in size, with 10 additional exam rooms and an expanded waiting room to provide easier access to coordinated and comprehensive care.

The practice also recently added three new physicians and advanced practice clinicians. Caitlin Colonna, D.O., Kristina Nivus, D.O., and Detrich Brown, certified nurse practitioner, have all joined the practice and are accepting new patients.

Weekend hours have also been added at the practice. Beginning Saturday, Dec. 7, the practice will now be open from 8 a.m. to noon on the first and third Saturdays of each month. This is in addition to the practice’s weekday hours that include evening hours for added convenience.

“This practice opened just six years ago, and in that time the care provided in this convenient location has drawn a huge response from the community,” said Karen Jones, M.D., senior vice president, WellSpan Health, and president, WellSpan Medical Group. “Our patients in the western part of York County deserve all the conveniences that come with receiving their care at this expanded location.”

Patients can schedule appointments online, allowing them to choose a time slot that suits their schedule. This can be done via smartphone on the MyWellSpan app or on your computer. For more information, visit www.WellSpan.org/Schedule.

Convenient care, close to home

The expansion of the practice is the latest investment in health care resources for the western part of York County.

Earlier this year WellSpan Urgent Care opened in the West Manchester Town Center, and in May opened three advanced specialty medicine practice: WellSpan Orthopedics, Cardiology and Adult Neurology at 1695 Roosevelt Ave. in York.
