Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:

I grew up in a remote village in Southern India; a place where poverty and illiteracy were overpowering and heath care facilities were nonexistent. As I grew up, I noticed that people suffer not from incurable diseases, but due to the poor access of basic health care. Bearing witness to this reality, I was filled with a deep desire to alleviate suffering of these people by pursuing a career in Medicine.

What I want my patients to know about me:

I specialize in Cardiology with additional training in taking care of advanced heart failure patients, who need therapies like heart pump or heart transplant. My role is to identify different causes of heart failure and treat them with medications. However, medications can become less effective as heart failure progresses. t's important to recognize when medications alone are not enough, and when advanced care is needed.

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:

Outside of work, I like to spend time with my family. I enjoy walking, jogging, HIIT and strength training.
