Our residency includes PGY-1 and PGY-2 programs, accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and designed to provide you with the skills and knowledge you need for your pharmacy career.
PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Program
The PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Program offers you flexibility and the opportunity to practice in a progressive environment that focuses on rational and cost-effective drug therapy.
Learn to:
- establish evidence-based practice
- educate patients and other healthcare providers about drug therapy
- evaluate medical literature
- conduct two research projects
- assume responsibility for drug therapy outcomes
You’ll develop these skills through a combination of clinical experiences, as a participant in interdisciplinary rounds with nurses, dietitians, residents and attending physicians. You’ll also gain experience in our inpatient pharmacy department.
PGY-2 Critical Care Residency Program
The PGY-2 Critical Care Residency Program provides the opportunity to expand and develop your specialty care skills in drug therapy management of critically ill patients, through our:
- Level I trauma center, which includes 60 adult intensive care unit beds for medical, trauma, surgical, neuroscience, cardiac and open-heart services.
- emergency department
- 44-bed Level 3 neonatal intensive care unit
