Condensed Childbirth Class (VIRTUAL)

This one-day class is designed to give you the information you need to make the best decisions for your birth. The childbirth education class focuses on preparing you for labor, birth, and the early postpartum period. You will learn about the stages of labor, comfort measures, medical options for pain relief, labor interventions, cesarean sections, the postpartum period, the role of the support person, as well as briefly covering relaxation and breathing techniques.
This class is offered once a month on a weekend. Baby Care and Breastfeeding classes are NOT included. You can sign up to take those separately.
We recommend registering for this class during or after your fifth month of pregnancy.
These classes are fully covered by Medical Assistance insurance plans: Prepared Childbirth Series, Condensed Childbirth Class, Refresher Class, and Online Childbirth Education Bundle. All Medical Assistance insurances cover them. These are the insurance plans given by the state. The WellSpan Financial Assistance Program also covers them.

Instructions
Our virtual classes are done through Microsoft Teams. The Microsoft Teams link you will need, for your class/classes, is included under “Additional Details” in your Registration Confirmation email. If you do not receive your Registration. Confirmation email, please first check your junk or spam folder. The email will come from noreply@wellspan.org. If you are still unable to locate your email, please email childbirthedu@wellspan.org at least 2 business days before your class.
Cancellation Policy
You will receive a full refund if you cancel more than a week prior to the start of class. There will be a $15 processing fee subtracted from your refund for a cancellation less than one week prior to the start of class. There are no refunds after the class date.
