CBT Skills for Adult ADHD - Mt Gretna

Description

Adults with a diagnosis of ADHD may find Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Skills for ADHD (CBT Skills for ADHD) group beneficial. Be ready and willing to actively learn and practice new skills. These 12 sessions will teach you skills to make peace with the diagnosis, learn time management, how to overcome emotional barriers, prioritize your time and follow through on important responsibilities.

Each group will have three main parts:

1. Review of progress at home on the previous skill.

2. Introduction and practice of the new skill

3. Planning homework for the next week.

Group members must have an ADHD diagnosis. Group members must have the ability to communicate effectively in group format. Potential participants cannot have active psychosis, active addiction or active suicidal/homicidal thoughts.

Instructions

This 12 week group meets on Thursdays at 9:00 to 11:00 am with group leaders Benjamin Keener, PsyD and Kaila Folk, MS. While all efforts will be made to assist you in entering a group as quickly as possible, you may need to be temporarily added to a waitlist.
