Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare?:

My interest in healthcare began when I was young. My mother always thought I would make a great midwife, which sparked my interest in healthcare. As I got older, I realized that I wanted to work with babies. That passion led me to pursue nursing and eventually become a NICU nurse. I spent seven years working in the NICU, caring for critically ill and premature newborns and supporting their families during some of the most difficult and emotional moments of their lives. Being able to care for a fragile newborn and watch them grow stronger was incredibly rewarding. Ultimately, I chose healthcare because I wanted a career where I could make a real difference in people’s lives.

What I want my patients to know about me?:

As a NICU provider, I know that having a baby in the NICU can be an overwhelming and emotional experience. I believe every baby deserves individualized, compassionate care, and every family deserves to feel heard, respected and included in their baby’s care. I’ll do my best to explain what’s happening, answer your questions and make sure you understand the plan — even when things feel complicated or uncertain. Most importantly, I want you to know that you are an important part of your baby’s care team. I’m honored to be trusted with your baby and will always strive to provide the same thoughtful, compassionate care I would want for my own family.

What I do when I’m not seeing patients?:

When I am not working, I'm busy exploring all our national parks, spending time outdoors, chasing fantasy football wins and being obsessed with my dogs.
