Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare?:

As a child, I loved babysitting and caring for children — I always knew I wanted to pursue a career where I could do that. After having surgery when I was eight years old, I wanted to be able to help kids the way the nurses helped me. When I learned there was a career where I could help babies grow and thrive, I knew that would be my job. I was blessed to start working in the NICU after graduating from nursing school, and my passion for the tiniest of patients has grown ever since.

What I want my patients to know about me?:

Having your baby in the NICU is likely one of the hardest journeys you are going to have, but you are never alone! I want my patients and their families to know that I will be alongside them every step of the way. I care for the entire family like they are my own.

What I do when I’m not seeing patients?:

When I am not at work, I like to spend time with my family and friends. My dog, Willow, and my nieces and nephews keep me busy! I also love to travel, read and watch the Orioles play when I can.
