Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:
As a specialist in cardiovascular prevention, I have the unique opportunity to arrest, or even reverse, chronic diseases through dietary and drug therapies. With an effort on their part, my patients have the opportunity to become healthier as they age and truly feel "younger" next year! There is nothing more gratifying to me than to have a patient motivated enough to actively participate in their own health.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I belong to several organizations including the American College of Cardiology (ACC), which I have an active role in their nationally-recognized prevention council. I am also member of the National lipid Association (NLA), the American Society of preventive Cardiology (ASPC), the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM), and the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM).
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
Above all else, I enjoy time with my wife and three children. When I have personal time, I enjoy exercising (often), reading fiction, and playing my acoustic guitars.
