Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Completion of at least three years of training in an ACGME-approved general surgery, neurosurgery, urology, emergency medicine, or obstetrics and gynecology residency program.
OR
- PGY-5 General Surgery residents, board-eligible by the fellowship start date (August 1, 2025).
- International Medical Graduates: Must provide an ECFMG certificate. J1 and H1B visas are accepted.
- Eligible for medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
How to Apply
Applications for the fellowship are processed through the Surgical critical care and Acute care surgery Fellowship Application Service (SAFAS) and the National Resident Match Program (NRMP). Required application materials include:
- SAFAS Application
- Curriculum Vitae
- Personal Statement
- Three Letters of Recommendation (including one from your current Program Director)
- USMLE Scores (Step 1, 2, and 3)
