Our EM residency is a prestigious, three-year program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). Nestled within the walls of WellSpan York Hospital, a 600-bed regional specialty care teaching hospital, our program offers you an unrivaled training experience with:
- patient diversity: We proudly serve more than 80,000 patients every year in our recently renovated, high-acuity, high-volume Emergency Department (ED).
- trauma expertise: As a Level I Trauma Center, we’re the sole accredited trauma center in three surrounding counties. Our EM residency ensures that you receive the highest level of trauma training.
- specialty centers: As a Comprehensive Stroke Center, STEMI Center, ECMO Provider and Geriatric ED, we’re the receiving center for our region's sickest patients. Our EM residency offers you exposure to a wide variety of cases.
