This was my second regular checkup visit with Bill McDermott. Bill is an excellent provider. Caring, attentive, knowledgeable, likable, responsive. For example: my cholesterol levels had Increased over the last year as a result of my voluntarily coming off a statin (15+ year usage). We discussed this at length during my November 2023 visit, and concluded It was not a major concern due to my overall health and lifestyle. At this visit Bill suggested that I get a CT Calcium Score test based on a cardiac risk score of 21.9%, just for reassurance that my cholesterol was not a major issue. I had the test yesterday. My score was 0, the best score possible, indicating low risk. Within an hour or so of getting my results through the portal, Bill had already seen the results and had commented on them. I'm thankful that Bill had suggested the test, providing me with that reassurance I needed.

Mr McDermott had always been gracious and understanding, taking his time to listen to my concerns.

I just recently switched providers after my long term provider left the practice.  I'm comfortable with this provider which is very important, he takes the time to listen to my concerns and help address them.

Dr. McDermott is thorough, attentive to my questions, takes time to be sure I understand the answers he  provides.

This was my first visit with Bill. He was thorough, made me feel comfortable, and addressed the fact that it had been a long time since I'd had thyroid blood work.

Since moving here in March this year, coming to this provider has been the best move ever. Absolutely love having Dr. McDermott as my provider. He always praises my good results and good work I've done. He always tries to guide me in the right manner.

I did not choose Dr. McDermott.The appointment was scheduled with him when my regular CRNP left the practice. This was visit was in advance of an upcoming surgical procedure for clearance. I like this physician, but the nurse who was care for me that day was terrible. The doctor requested blood work, my flu shot, and was going to flush my left ear also. When he left the room he said the nurse will be in shortly to do the blood work...  Thirty minutes later I popped my head out the door to see if I had a time frame of how soon they would be back and another individual at the counter said she'd have to find the nurse. Another 15 minutes went by and the nurse came in the room and said "Opps! I forgot about you, you're getting a flu and shingles shot, right?" trying to make it a joke like it was okay.  It was not okay. And no, I was NOT getting a shingles shot. She hadn't even looked at the notes. My appointment was to be at 8:30. It started late. And here is was now 10:15, left to "wait" and forgotten. And a joke made. And she couldn't tell me how much longer it would be. I didn't plan to take half a day off of work for an 8:30 AM appointment. And I walked out without any of the other steps completed. No bloodwork, no flu shot, no ear taken care of. I will be looking for a different office. I have never experienced care like that in this office before.

This was my first appointment with Bill McDermott as my nurse practitioner. I came away very impressed with his skill, knowledge, attentiveness, and concern for my health and well being. I had stopped taking a statin six months ago and my cholesterol did predictably go up. After discussing my overall health, fitness, and lifestyle, Bill agreed with my desire not to go back on a statin, and we'll monitor things going forward. I was very pleased that he took all things into consideration and didn't just automatically push to have me go back on a drug that may not be needed. I was pleasantly surprised with this. It was a great first visit with Bill!

Was a new patient. But the staff was friendly and informative. My Doctor, was friendly, knowledgeable, and very informative. Looking forward to my next visit. The doctor made it feel like a conversation we were having and not just a doctor patient appointment. Highly recommended!

I first met Dr Bill in early Nov 2022 due to the fact Lisa Bollinger wasn't available. My daughter had just died.  10/29/2022 and I needed to be seen.  So I saw Dr McDermott.   I remembered how he treated me that day. He detected a heart Issue. I have since acquired Dr Mastoor my cardiologist.  This time I couldn't see Lisa Bollinger - My Provider ... And I had remembered  Dr McDermott from when my daughter died ... And I asked for an appointment to see him

Would prefer if the provider listened a bit more and did not decide to push for medication and try to collaborate with patients where excercise and better self care can probably aleviate the issue.
