Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:

I started my career in health care as a bedside nurse where I worked in an ICU setting for many years. I decided to go back to school to become a nurse practitioner when I realized how important the role of an NP really is. As a nurse practitioner, I strive to promote an environment that focuses on the prevention of disease and the promotion of health. My passion is to help educate woman to attain their fullest potential in life through taking control of their health, even from a very young age. I enjoy helping others achieve success and then celebrating in that success with them.

What I want my patients to know about me:

I believe that the greatest medicine is to teach people how not to need it. I believe in good self care and believe the foundation of good health begins by placing a true investment in your health by eating healthy, staying active, properly nourishing your soul with healthy relationships, adequate rest, and always keeping a positive mental attitude. Living a good life is a choice we all must make, and it is completely in our control. I care about my patients and work every day to remain knowledgeable, approachable and interested in their health and health issues.

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:

I am the oldest girl from a family of 15 children, where I have 9 brothers and 5 sisters. In my free time, I do like to go back to Youngstown, Ohio, where most of my family lives. I also love to work out on a daily basis. I enjoy the outdoors and will jump on the chance to go hiking or anything in nature. I also like to read, write and stay very informed on women's health care issues. I enjoy going to the gym, making new friends, trying new restaurants, listening to live music, talking to people from all different walks of life, and learning new things.
