Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:
“Whenever the art of medicine is loved, there is also a love of humanity” -Hippocrates.
From an early age I wanted to pursue medicine as a career to be an advocate for people's health. During medical school, I volunteered to work in under-served areas and was interested in health education and preventive care .
What I want my patients to know about me:
I earned my MBBS degree from the University of Khartoum, Sudan. I completed one year of internship in Sudan then moved to the United States to do my residency. I finished my pediatrics residency at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital where I also served as chief resident. I decided to have a career in General Pediatrics because I love working in the pediatrics primary care field and love continuity of care. I am a Mum of two wonderful girls.

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
During my free time I love spending time with my family, cooking, swimming and walking . I enjoy Broadway shows and love going to art museums .
