Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare?:
I chose to pursue a career in healthcare because I find science and medicine interesting, and I love caring for people. I have found my passion is taking care of kids throughout my career in healthcare. I want kids to be healthy so that they can play and have fun! Prior to working as a primary care pediatric nurse practitioner, I was a pediatric nurse for 7 years and worked in a variety settings including PICU, pediatric oncology, NICU and general pediatrics.
What I want my patients to know about me?:
It is an honor to have families trust me with their child’s care. I want my patients and families to feel like they can ask me any question- big or small. I enjoy getting to know your child and your family.
What I do when I’m not seeing patients?:
When I am not seeing patients, I am busy being a mom and spending time with my husband and two girls. I also love to read, cook and be at the beach.
