Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:

I have always been drawn to helping people overcome their problems. I am a good listener, and, from a young age, I have always been the person friends find to confide in and seek advice. I have an aptitude for science and am committed to improving and refining my knowledge base. Medicine seemed like a natural fit for these abilities. I've been very pleased with my choice of career and feel privileged to serve my patients.

What I want my patients to know about me:

I am committed to the concept of primary care. I think everyone should have reliable access to a provider who knows them personally, treats them with respect and recognizes their individual needs and preferences in navigating our complex medical system. My particular areas of interest include nutrition, fitness, maintaining health and musculoskeletal care. Although I am an MD, I have done some osteopathic (DO) training and value the more broad-minded osteopathic approach to disease and treatment.

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:

I spend a lot of time outdoors! Trail running, backpacking, skiing, kayaking, cycling...anything that gets me a good workout. I also love spending time with my wife and daughter. I am interested in astronomy, reading, history, science and science fiction. I play classical piano, enjoy art and travel.
