Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:

At the end of college and liberal arts majors - I really thought I wanted to be a psychiatrist - and that required medical school. Early on in training, I fell in love with radiology. Radiology is true detective work, where the evidence is found in beautiful medical images. After years in practice as a general diagnostic and interventional radiologist, I have found my home in breast imaging. Breast imaging is a wonderful balance of real time patient care, image-guided procedures and image interpretation. I get to meet and talk with new patients every day. I am honored to be a part of their journey.

What I want my patients to know about me:

I don't want anybody to have cancer, but if a cancer is hiding in your body (and they do try to hide)... I want to find it. Breast cancer today is so successfully treated - especially when detected early. 'Doctor' comes from the Latin 'docere' which means 'to teach'. I love to show, teach and explain - I also embrace shared-decision making. If that is ever too much for you, please let me know and I am more than happy to oblige and refrain.

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:

I enjoy Yoga, loving and walking my immediate family of 4 tiny dogs, connecting with family, and yes - I still love to study. Medical information is forever changing and always increasing! I am just as curious and fascinated about medicine as I was the first day of medical school.
