Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:

I chose a career in medicine to make a meaningful impact in the quality of life and longevity of the individuals I treat. Although I treat patients of all ages, I have a special interest and subspecialty training in treating children and adolescents with mental health concerns. For this age group, I feel empowered to change a youngster's overall life trajectory toward the positive.

What I want my patients to know about me:

Patients can expect honesty and genuine compassion. I think honesty is of utmost importance, especially when treating children and adolescents. As a psychiatrist, one of my biggest roles is medication management. Each patient is a unique individual and needs treatment tailored to their situation. For many patients, medication can be of great benefit but for others it may not be indicated. You can be sure you will leave an appointment with my honest opinion regarding the role of medication in treatment for your loved one.

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:

My primary interest outside of medicine is strength training. You can often find me at the gym lifting heavy things for fun.
