I waited 45 minutes after the nurse left.  I was the 8 o'clock appointment.   Apparently Melissa had called in blood work in January which I missed.  She came in guns blazing about this missing blood work.  She didn't even greet me.  After about 3 or 4 minutes of her tirade about how I was going to die because I didn't get this bloodworm, I stood up and told her I had enough and I would be making an appointment with another provider.   At this point I am crying and she asks me to sit down,  no apologies given.   I am now in the hall and ask her if she is going to fill my blood pressure medicine.   She says she is sorry and needs me to come back in the room.   At this point I am really not comfortable and leave the appointment.   The nurses and receptionists were great.Also, in Melissa's room she had a paper and a white board that talked about how wellspan shortened appointment times and there would be no extra time to talk about other issues.   In hindsight,  I find this extremely rude as I waited 45 minutes for her to even come into the room.  I have never had a bad appointment at this practice and was appalled at what happened that day!!

I was quite nervous to get back in to routine care. She had come highly recommended by several friends. I felt comfortable the entire visit, which I did not expect!

First two with her were good. This last one she seemed to rush a lot and wanted to be done quickly. Maybe in with me for 8 minutes total.

Provider was good however feel very rushed every time.

Very pleasant and thoroughin my check up.  She was very thorough in my discussion of blood work.

She listens and checks out any concerns that I'm having.

Melissa is one of the best health providers I've had in a long time. I've always seen MD's and let me tell you, I prefer a nurse practiitioner over a Medical Doctor for my health practitioner. Except of course when you need a specialist, then  I'd go to a medical doctor.

First appointment after transfer from previous provider as they moved to another location too far to travel to.

My provider is beyond exceptional - she always takes time to discuss and explain options to me regarding my health care - she never rushes me - is never dismissive - I can't say enough good things about her.

My provider was excellent. I was amazed at the time she spent with me and how she made sure all my needs were met.

Very rude and abrupt. Told me they believed in being direct as to "not waste my or her time" when this was a new provider. Totally prejudged me and did not bother to discuss the reasons I was there. Came to her own conclusion and accused me basically if doctor shopping when that was not the case at all. Was totally disrespectful to me. Treated me like a drug addict when I have worked extremely hard in recovery for 4 1/2 years. I was looking to establish a new patient/doctor relationship and she treated me as I was doctor shopping without discussing anything with me. Walked into the room and started making false accusations when all I said was hello and she did not let me speak at all. After her completely biting my head off for 5 minutes (after I waited for 30 minutes for her to come in the room) I had to interrupt her to correct her in her assumptions. She told me I had to get a prescription filled by a pain management specialist (non narcotic) AFTER she treated me horribly. I told her that was all she had to tell me and I had no problem with that and I did contact that specialist when I got home and they filled it no problem. That was all she had to say and the appointment would have gone a different way. I am not a sensitive person and appreciate being direct but do not appreciate someone prejudging me and treating me in a way that was so rude and disrespectful. It was so bad I sent an email to the nurse manager who did a wonderful job of listening to me and finding out what happened. Of course Melissa lied and tried to make herself look good. Melissa is in the totally wrong profession and SHOULD NOT be seeing any patients at all. She is rude and obnoxious and I will make sure that every single person I know that goes to Wellspan NEVER sees her so they never have to experience the trauma it left me with. I am totally transparent with the whole 3 physicians I see at 54 years old and always give all of them the opportunity to speak to each other. I have nothing to hide and she would have known that if she gave me a chance to speak instead of barging in the room barking at me. That behavior could have been detrimental to someone in brand new sobriety and set them back. She said she worked with people in recovery and I thank God she no longer works with anyone in recovery nor should she. This person should be put behind a desk where she does not work with any patients at all. EXTREMELY unprofessional. Normally I prefer to see a NP instead of a physician but it I had to see her again, I would rather decline in health than ever have to see her again. Harsh but VERY true. She is detrimental to your practice and will cause you to lose patients. I know you lost this one for sure. I know one person not going to your practice is not going to damage the practice or anything of that nature but if I can prevent one person from facing the rudeness and indignity I faced than I consider this mission accomplished. I hope you take this seriously and don't let her lie her way out of it. I am more than willing to discuss and disprove anything further with you.

Always late unfortunately, when there's an issue with something and you have to call the office if you're not on top of it and call multiple times it doesn't get done in a timely manner for example medication refills take forever, if they sent it to the wrong pharmacy they take a whole day to fix it.  Doesn't always listen to the patient, I know myself and my body, but she makes you jump threw hoops and a problem that could of been fixed quickly takes forever. Nice lady though

She showed the utmost professionalism. She's by far the best provider I've seen. She should receive provider of the month and have her parking space upgraded.

My appointment was made to follow up a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound for a lump.  The radiologist said it appeared benign, but to follow up with my provider due to the cholesterol medication side effects.  I added a message in my chart about other issues I was having with my medication and wanted to discuss at the appointment.  This can be viewed In my chart relating to my Lexapro for my anxiety.  I was told to stop the medication cold turkey.  Thank goodness my wife is connected to my portal and advised me that this was horrible and risky advice.  These types of meds should never be just stopped, only weaned.  Melissa came into the room at 815am.  Immediately recommended that I see a plastic surgeon rather than discuss that my cholesterol might have caused my gynecomastia.  I told her I would rather try to stop my cholesterol meds and try to work on diet and exercise rather than to a drastic surgery.  I then asked her if she had a minute to discuss other issues with my current medications.  She stated, "It depends on how long it will take."  At this point she had been in the room less than 5 minutes.  I was under the impression that I at least had 10-15 minutes with a provider when I scheduled the appointment.  I decided to discuss weight loss options due to my cholesterol and she recommended I shop around online for weight loss drugs.  Since I stayed on my anxiety medication, it seemed I didn't have time to discuss an adjustment to those.  I was in my truck and on my way to work by 820.

She's great. Explains things well and I feel very comfortable talking with her.

Melissa has been wonderful to me, especially while dealing with C Diff. She shows a lot of care and she takes the time to listen.

During my most recent visit to the doctor, the experience left much to be desired. The healthcare provider was egregiously tardy, keeping me waiting for an exasperating 30 minutes. As I began to express my concerns and articulate my symptoms, it became apparent that the provider wasn't attentive or receptive to my needs. The atmosphere quickly soured as the professional exhibited an alarming degree of dismissiveness, seemingly more interested in rushing through the appointment than understanding my medical history or addressing my concerns. This cavalier attitude extended to a lack of comprehension regarding the prescribed medication, leaving me feeling uneasy about the proposed treatment plan. Within the initial five minutes of the encounter, a strong internal instinct urged me to reconsider continuing the appointment, as the overall demeanor and lack of professionalism raised serious doubts about the quality of care I was receiving.

Melissa has always taken the time to talk over any health issues or concerns I have. She listens very well, and genuinely cares about me and my health...and that means alot. And she is very knowledgeable and helpful.

Really excellent at explaining things and super nice

I was provided with one test under my annual physical, which later I found that is not covered under my annual physical. So, I have to pay additionally for that now. If I had known it would not be covered under my annual physical, I would definitely skip the test. As this is not urgent, I am not required to do that test. According to my insurance company, now I have to pay around $144 when the hospital sends the bill to me soon.The provided would have informed me about it before providing the test. I also called the insurance company before testing that time, they said all those STD group tests would be counted under annual physical. Now, the hospital is charging and the insurance company is not willing to pay. Disappointing!Other than this, the provider gave her best to know about my medical history and gave advice accordingly.

I like Melissa, she very nice and is kind to me.

Exceptionally knowledgeable, both the nurse and the doctor. I have not yet been contacted by a referral admin, but otherwise it was a great visit.

This was my first visit with her. I had an amazing experience with her! She spent a lot of time with me addressing my issues and educating me. She listened intently to my concerns. She really cared. This was by far the best provider appointment I have ever had!

Melissa is very professional and informative. However,when I had blood pressure and cholesterol issues that wouldn't go away,I felt like no one took it seriously and I ended up almost losing my life to a heart attack last year(99% blockage in LAD). This last visit,I went to her for dizziness and balance issues. First she said my urine came back negative for UTI and that the reason for protein and ketones was because of either bad kidneys or heart failure or something else. She ordered bloodwork and then messaged me on the portal that she would discuss results at next appt which was over a month away. Several days later,she messaged again saying I had a UTI with E.coli and sent medicine to the pharmacy. I checked my results again and saw that my results from that were posted days before she messaged me. I feel like she needs to be more prompt with letting people know results right away(good or bad),and take things more seriously before someone ends up even worse than going in.
