Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:

Sometimes life opens doors for the future that you did not even know were there. For me, a career in gastroenterology was a door that has given me wonderful opportunities. I did not plan to have a career in gastroenterology, however the perfect career path found me.

What I want my patients to know about me:

I am very excited to serving Franklin County because it is a more rural community than I have worked with in the past. I was drawn to the area because Andrew Lininger and I attended grad school together. He reached out to me about an opportunity and I was intrigued. I was interviewed and met everyone and from there it all fell into place

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:

I enjoy spending time with my family, especially with my 9-month-old. My first degree was in fine art from Appalachian State University in North Carolina and I enjoy doing crafts. I also spend a lot of time gardening and like to grow okra, tomatoes and peppers to make homemade hot sauce and pepper jelly.
