Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare?:

I knew from an early age that I wanted to go into health care. There was a picture of me at the age of two, walking around with my aunt (who is a nurse) with a stethoscope and gloves. I was drawn to family medicine in medical school. I was interested in every field that I encountered and found that family medicine allowed me to experience a little bit of everything. I believe this is a calling/vocation in my life, and I am deeply blessed and humbled to be a part of this field. I love the variety I experience every day and the ability to see families across generations. It is truly one of the most rewarding experiences.

What I want my patients to know about me?:

My goal is to treat every patient that I encounter the same way that I would want myself or my loved ones to be treated. I consider myself a partner in each patient's health journey. An important part of health care to me is ensuring that each patient knows that they are heard. While I don't deliver babies, I have a strong interest in postpartum care and additional training and certification in breastfeeding and lactation medicine.

What I do when I’m not seeing patients?:

I love to teach, and being a member of the faculty for WellSpan’s Family Medicine Residency in York helps to fill that cup for me. Outside of medicine, you will find me spending time with my husband and three kids (probably at one of my kids' sporting events!), reading, running or traveling.
