From the time of high school, I have been fascinated by the intricate workings of the human body. As my studies took me further, I was intrigued by the surgical field with the hands-on aspect of practicing medicine. My love of surgery directed me to choose my clinical rotations and career path in surgery positions since I graduated from PA (physician assistant) school in 2010. I specifically enjoy seeing so many problems fixed through surgery and getting to aid patients in an improved quality of life. I have the privilege of enjoying each day that I am at work.
As a physician assistant, I appreciate being able to provide quick access to surgical care for our patients. I have the flexibility with my schedule to fit patients in as needed, to diagnose and treat as I am able in the office, and to schedule patients for surgery in the operating room with one of our surgeons when needed. I work closely with our surgeons to provide the best care possible for our patients. I routinely perform minor procedures that can safely be done in the office, as well as see pre-op and post-op surgical patients.
My two toddler sons keep me quite entertained while I am not at work. They already enjoy playing doctor with mommy. My husband and I enjoy hiking and an annual trip to Hilton Head when the weather is warm. Most importantly, I spend my time getting to know my Savior Jesus Christ and serving Him in my local church in Reading.
