Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:

My father is a very successful owner of a business, which he built himself from the ground up. He instilled in me a passion for hard work, dedication, and excellence in one's work. My mother is a (happily retired!) special education teacher who lives each day in compassionate service to others. These two perspectives provided a perfect environment to pursue a career in medicine.

What I want my patients to know about me:

I was born, raised, and educated in Pennsylvania and I'm proud to call it my home.
I enjoy getting to know my patients as individuals, and helping each person take control of their health.
I have a special interest in the health of the Amish and Plain communities in Pennsylvania, particularly mental health and non-obstetric women's health.

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:

I'm the housekeeper, washerwoman, chef, seamstress and chauffeur for my family.
