Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:
I have loved science and the study of the human body for as long as I can remember. I find patients are comforted if they can just understand what is going on. I love being the person who understands the complexities but can explain it on a very human level.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I care. I care at a very basic level. I have been the patient. I have been the mom of a patient. I have been the daughter of the patient. I start all of my conversations putting myself in my patient's shoes. I have walked the walk, so I simply treat patients and their families the way I want to be treated.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
Raising two of the most beautiful boys in the world, and wrangling their fur-brothers with my husband. It's a busy home, but I would have it no other way!
