Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:

I've always been fascinated by the sciences, even at a young age. More importantly, I've seen in my family how special the bond between a patient and physician can be and strive to earn that trust with every patient I meet. I specifically chose to be a Hospitalist because I enjoy seeing a wide variety of patients and ailments in the acute setting.

What I want my patients to know about me:

Two things I strongly value and fear are too often overlooked in the hospital environment are teamwork and communication. I aim to spend as much time as necessary at the bedside getting to know patients beyond plain numbers and diagnoses. I also understand that healthcare is far from perfect and proudly serve on our hospital's Quality Improvement Committee to continue learning and advocating for our patients.

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:

I enjoy spending quality time with family members and friends. You'll often find me on the golf course or rooting for my favorite New York sports teams. I also enjoy traveling domestically and internationally and reading a wide range of both novels and nonfiction.
