Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:

As a child, I often visited hospitals because my mother in law had liver cancer. I remember the nurses and doctors being so kind to me, including me and ensuring my comfort. My great grandmother and mother were also in the nursing field. As a young adult, my first job in health care was a nursing assistant, I knew I wanted to grow and evolve in the medical field. I love taking care of people and making a difference. I love the variety and the challenge that a career in medicine presents, it always keeps me on my feet!

What I want my patients to know about me:

I like to converse with my patient's, hear their story and put a face to the name. I love to follow my patients and watch their progression throughout their hospital stay.

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:

I enjoy spending time with my husband, family and dog. I love cooking and baking in my spare time. I love to travel to tropical locations.
