Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:
Medicine allows me to combine my love of science with direct patient interactions. Pediatrics has been a wonderful career path-allowing me to problem solve and treat, provide anticipatory guidance, and watch the next generation grow. Children are incredibly fun to interact with.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
I enjoy spending time with my two teenage sons, reading-primarily nonfiction, traveling-preferably to beach locations, and listening to music and attending concerts
