Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:

I was enthusiastic about the opportunity to use science and technology to help people. As an Interventional Radiologist, I can balance highly technical imaging modalities with hands-on surgical patient contact. This has resulted in a wonderful balance for me.

What I want my patients to know about me:

I am currently chairman of Imaging and Radiation Oncology at WellSpan York Hospital. I have a background and fellowship training in Interventional Radiology as well as CT, ultrasound and MRI from Harvard/Massachusetts General Hospital. My passions include musculoskeletal radiology and sports medicine, and I completed an internship in surgery (originally heading to a residency on orthopedic surgery). My current driving interest is in the application of advanced MRI imaging in men's health, specifically related to prostate cancer as well as applications of Artificial Intelligence in Imaging.

What I do when I'm not seeing patients:

I am active and play tennis regularly, have open water SCUBA certification, and enjoy trail bike riding in the summer. In my spare time, I have written a medical thriller and a screenplay, which was optioned in Hollywood. I am in the process of writing a second novel but seem to run out of time on a regular basis. Books and reading are a wonderful escape, as is going to the movies. I love to travel, especially in Europe, and have strong ties to Romania and Hungary, where I was born.
