Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare?:

Like most healthcare providers, I have a great desire to help people and contribute to creating a healthy community in which I work. As it pertains to my specialty of cardiac surgery, I enjoyed the immediate gratification (for both the patient and me) that accompanies fixing a sick heart.

What I want my patients to know about me?:

Even though I am a surgeon and truly enjoy what I do in the operating room, some of the most impactful movements have been spent working with individuals in the community providing education on maintaining healthy lifestyle habits.

What I do when I’m not seeing patients?:

I enjoy spending time with my family. My wife and I have three children who are very active in multiple sports, and I spend time coaching on the weekends.
