Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare?:

My interest in healthcare and physical therapy began in high school, after I injured my ankle while playing soccer. During that time, the father of one of my teammates, who was a physical therapist, helped to treat my injury on the field and introduced me to the profession. I was inspired by that experience and later shadowed him at his clinic. I quickly discovered how much I enjoyed the environment and the impact physical therapy could have on patients’ lives.

It was then that I decided to pursue my career in healthcare as a physical therapist.

What I want my patients to know about me?:

I received my BA in biological sciences and a minor in Spanish and Latin American studies from the University of Delaware in 2004. I received my Doctor of Physical Therapy from Drexel University in 2008. I have practiced orthopedic physical therapy for over 15 years in the states of Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania. I enjoy working with patients who suffer from low back, neck and shoulder pain. I have been trained in treating muscular injuries with IASTM, kinesio-taping (KT), and CMTPT/DN techniques. I am also bilingual in the Spanish and English languages. I am a York/Lancaster County native.

What I do when I’m not seeing patients?:

I love watching soccer, traveling, spending time in nature, going to markets, finding unique places to eat and exploring historical places.
