Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare?:

I chose health care, and pediatrics specifically, because we truly get the opportunity to problem solve together with patients and their families. We have the ability to make a meaningful impact every day that we work. Medicine is a unique field that allows you to balance art and medicine while working with different people every day. What could be better?

What I want my patients to know about me?:

I was born and raised outside of Baltimore, Maryland, and most recently lived in Philadelphia for my pediatrics training. I, of course, love working with all ages within pediatrics, but I particularly enjoy caring for both ends of the spectrum: babies and teenagers. I am proud to be an openly gay physician and am dedicated to creating a safe space in medicine for LGBTQ patients and families.

What I do when I’m not seeing patients?:

My partner and I have a fairly extensive houseplant collection in our home, likely close to 100 plants! We have also started adventuring into outdoor plants and gardening. You can also find me caring for our two cats and listening to lots of podcasts and audiobooks!
