Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare?:

I chose to work in mental health as a nurse practitioner because of the patients who shaped my path. During my ten years as an emergency room nurse, I witnessed the mental health crisis unfold at the front lines — often meeting individuals at their most vulnerable moments, when compassion, patience and dignity mattered most. Those experiences made it clear to me that people deserve more than crisis-driven care; they deserve to be heard, respected and supported throughout their healing journey.

What I want my patients to know about me?:

As a mental health provider, I value building meaningful, collaborative relationships with my patients. I strive to create a safe, supportive space where individuals feel seen and empowered to define and work toward their own goals. It is deeply rewarding to partner with patients, honor their experiences and support their progress with empathy, respect and evidence-based care.

What I do when I’m not seeing patients?:

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and staying balanced through the simple things. I love reading and always appreciate a good book to unwind or learn something new. I’m also proud to volunteer with the Girl Scouts of America, where I enjoy supporting confidence, leadership and community involvement among young girls.
