Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare?:

I have wanted to be a physician since I was 4 years old. This interest and passion did not waver. After graduating from college, I worked as a unit secretary in a community hospital in an ER on Long Island, NY. I was immediately drawn to the fast-paced environment, multitasking and team dynamics. Throughout medical school, I kept an open mind but emergency medicine was the specialty for me. It is an incredibly unique, challenging, and rewarding position to be in where you are caring for people and their loved ones in their most vulnerable state. After completing residency, I was fortunate to obtain and complete a medical education fellowship at Christiana Care in Newark, DE. I enjoy not only working clinically but also find it extremely rewarding to be leading the emergency medicine residency program here.

What I want my patients to know about me?:

As the program director for the emergency medicine residency, our mission statement is threefold: teaching, service and excellence. We push the residents to their own individual highest potential.

What I do when I’m not seeing patients?:

I moved to York, PA, in 2017 from NY and have thoroughly enjoyed all of the amazing parks, downtown York area and sense of community that York has to offer. When I am not working, I am spending time with my two daughters. They are full of energy, so much personality and fun!
