WellSpan Evangelical Community Hospital recognized by Healthgrades for patient experience

WellSpan Evangelical Community Hospital has been recognized as a 2026 Healthgrades Outstanding Patient Experience Award recipient. The distinction places the hospital in the top 10% nationally for patient experience.

 

WellSpan Evangelical Community Hospital has received the award for seven consecutive years (2020-2026) and has been named among the top 10% of hospitals in the country for patient experience each year since 2020.

The award reflects WellSpan’s commitment to creating a personalized care experience for each patient. The health system has been intentional about designing health care around the individual, meeting patients’ needs and busy lives with options that fit their schedules.

As part of its annual analysis, Healthgrades evaluated nearly 4,000 hospitals that submitted at least 100 Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems surveys, covering admissions from January through December 2024.

To determine recipients of the Outstanding Patient Experience Award, Healthgrades applies a scoring methodology to 10 patient experience measures. These measures focus on patients’ perceptions of their hospital care, including staff communication, medication explanations and cleanliness. The Outstanding Patient Experience Award is based on positive patient feedback in these critical areas.
