Earlier this week, patients noticed the first of several changes that will occur with MyWellSpan over the coming weeks.
A new look was unveiled on the WellSpan Health app including a new icon on the mobile home screen a new welcome screen upon logging in. Aside from that, the log in process has not changed and all important health information is available in MyWellSpan.
Starting May 22, MyWellSpan users will have to verify their identity with two-factor authentication when logging on a new or unsaved device. Patients will be prompted to verify their identity via text or email or with an authenticator app. This added layer of security will make it harder for unauthorized users to access your health information.
Users can prepare for this change by logging into their account and turning on two-factor authentication under Security Settings.
In addition to the changes highlighted above, MyWellSpan users will notice several additional enhancements in their patient portal on May 22 including the ability to: generate itemized bills on demand, identify abnormal test results easier, help surgical and pregnant patients keep track of all of their treatment information with Care Journeys, easily update saved payment methods and more.
