Prepared Childbirth Series
Description
Please note: We recommend registering for this class during or after your fifth month of pregnancy.
This series includes 5 classes which include 3 childbirth preparation classes, a Baby Care and a Breastfeeding 101: The Basics class. All dates for the series are listed to the right. Please do not register for the Baby Care and Breastfeeding 101: The Basics classes, as those classes are included in the cost of the series. The childbirth education classes will cover stages of labor, comfort measures, anesthesia choices, labor interventions, postpartum adjustments, relaxation and breathing techniques and Cesarean delivery.
The Prepared Childbirth Series is fully covered by all Medical Assistance insurances including AmeriHealth Caritas, GHP Family, Health Partners, HealthyCare Card, Highmark Wholecare (Gateway), PA Medicaid/Access, UPMC for You and WellSpan Financial Assistance Program. WellSpan employees will receive a 20% discount applied to the payment, when registering for these classes. The discount will only show on your receipt of payment.
We provide flexibility in class changes. If you have a specific date conflict, please send an email to childbirthedu@wellspan.org or contact our offices at (717) 851-2241.

Instructions
Please allow 3 to 5 business days to receive finalized registration information. **Masking requirements could change weekly. Please click on this link for the most up-to-date information. If masks are required, one will be provided for the student. If the student is experiencing symptoms related to COVID-19 (fever, cough, shortness of breath) or have come in contact with someone that has tested positive, please contact our office to reschedule.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation more than a week prior to the start of class = full refund. Cancellation less than one week prior to the start of the class = full refund less a $15 processing fee. After first class date = 75% of the fee. No refunds after second class date.
