Wasif Jamal is the senior vice president and chief information officer for WellSpan Health, leading enterprise-wide information technology and analytics. He oversees IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, application product strategy and enterprise analytics — ensuring technology and data-driven insights support clinical excellence, operational efficiency and business transformation.
An accomplished technology and digital transformation leader, Wasif brings more than 15 years of executive leadership experience across large, complex healthcare and global enterprise environments. Previously, he served as global chief technology officer at Providence Health in Redmond, Washington, where he led enterprise-wide infrastructure, cloud, AI and cybersecurity initiatives across a multi ministry health system. His leadership modernized core technology services, strengthened the resilience and security of critical systems, reduced legacy technology risk, and delivered significant, sustained efficiencies while advancing innovation at scale.
His earlier career included senior global technology leadership roles at Microsoft Corporation and General Electric, where he led large-scale infrastructure, security and enterprise transformation initiatives supporting mission-critical platforms worldwide.
Wasif holds a master’s degree in computer information systems from Gannon University and a bachelor’s degree in electrical telecommunications engineering from the National University of Science and Technology. He has also completed advanced leadership training through Stanford University and serves on customer advisory boards for leading technology organizations.
