David Gasperack, DO is the Senior Vice President of Primary Care and Population Health. He also serves as the lead physician for WellSpan’s Primary Care Service Line to ensure the widespread deployment of evidence-based practice for safe, effective, equitable, patient-centered, and efficient care.
In his current role, he oversees the development, planning, and execution of WellSpan’s value-based strategy to improve quality, patient experience, caregiver satisfaction and affordability, in partnership with members of the senior executive team.
A practicing family physician in Lancaster County for more than 15 years, Dr. Gasperack previously served as the Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of the Primary Care Service Line for WellSpan Health, Vice President and Chief Medical Officer for WellSpan Health’s East Region, and Associate Medical Director of Quality & Innovation in the WellSpan Medical Group.
Dr. Gasperack received his bachelor’s degree and MBA in Health Systems Administration from Union College in Schenectady, NY. He received his degree in Osteopathic Medicine from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his Family Practice Residency at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Reading, PA.
Dr. Gasperack serves on the Boards of Directors of the WellSpan Provider Network/WellSpan Population Health Services, Preferred Health Care, the Lancaster County Board of Commissions County Health Advisory Council, the Lancaster County Medical Society, and Hospice & Community Care, where he is also a member of the Quality Assessment & Performance Improvement Committee. Dr. Gasperack has been recognized as a Certified Physician Executive by the American Association of Physician Leadership.
