Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:
I have always wanted to help people and I have always loved to learn. I found that being a healthcare provider allows me both the ability to help others as well as educate people on how best to live their healthiest lifestyle. For me being a Nurse Practitioner is not just a job. Caring for people across their entire lifespan, as an individual, as part of a family, as a part of a community is something, I feel is essential to who I am.
What I want my patients to know about me:
You should expect to be treated as a unique individual and should expect to be treated with trust, honesty, respect and courtesy. You should expect to be an involved partner in making shared decisions about your healthcare. I value your time and I strive to provide a holistic, family centered, comprehensive approach to your care as efficiently and timely as possible. You should expect that I will listen to you and talk about your concerns and symptoms, so that together, we can develop a personalized plan for your care.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
I enjoy reading, gardening, learning to play guitar and being outdoors. I treasure spending time with my family. I especially enjoy history and take every opportunity I can to visit historical sites and museums.
