Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:
I have always relished helping others and what a better way to give to the community than a career where I can build life-long relationships with my patients while providing healthcare through the different phases of life. I also enjoy the intellectual stimulation, critical thinking, working with my hands and the ability to serve people of all ages.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I want my patients to know that they are in control of their health and for them to feel empowered after I have counseled them on their diagnoses. I believe in shared decision-making model of practice and individualized care. My primary goal is always for a patient to have the best outcome. Half of the steps in diagnosing comes from listening to the patient, so I appreciate when I do have the time to listen. I want my patients to know that am an empath and a nurturer who practices evidence-based medicine.
I practice comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology as a generalist and additionally offer non-surgical and surgical management options for pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence. I also offer minimally invasive gynecologic surgical options that allow my patients to achieve quicker recovery, less blood loss, and less pain if they are in need of a surgical management.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
I pride myself in taking care of my family. Personal enjoyments include continued learning about various things, watching movies, mindfulness practice, trying new restaurants, soaking up the sun along with connecting with friends and family.
