Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:
My path to medicine started as it does for many in the field, with a love of the sciences and a desire to use that to help those around me. This was bolstered through my training with the discovery that I enjoyed working with children and with parents as well, which is what ultimately led me to pediatrics. It is a very rewarding career and one that I am grateful to have.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I am originally from a rural area in western Pennsylvania (so I won't mention any sports teams here), but have lived in the East for several years now. More seriously, I want to make sure that the children I see are firstly safe and then as healthy/happy as possible. I enjoy working with parents to ensure this is the case and to direct families to further resources if something is needed that I am unable to offer. I am honored to be a part of your children and family's life and look forward to working with you to assure their good health.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
I enjoy the outdoors in general and love going for walks/hikes with my wife and son. I also enjoy basketball, although I do not play nearly as often as I would like anymore. I like swimming and try to go snow skiing at least once a year if I can. As for indoor activities, I am always happy with a good book. I am currently trying to become more of a handyman around the house with the help of both my parents and my in-laws.
