Why I chose to pursue a career in medicine:
I knew my heart was committed to nursing at a very young age. Ever since I can remember, I was always looking for someone to help. I started my career as a nursing assistant, then became a licensed practical nurse, then a registered nurse, and finally... a nurse practitioner. I enjoyed growing into each role. When I wanted more responsibility and autonomy, I furthered my education. Every step along my journey was difficult, but exciting. I would not change my path in any way.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I have dedicated my life to helping others, which has been tremendously rewarding. I have seen humanity at its worst and its best. I am humbled to be given the opportunity to make an impact on the lives of my patients. I am blessed beyond words.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
During the spring and summer months you will find me in Raystown on a kayak, paddle board, boat or bike. I enjoy reading, watching football (GO EAGLES!!!), walking on my treadmill, watching movies, decoupaging, making crafts and most importantly, spending time with family and friends.
