Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:
I have been fortunate to be exposed to the mysteries of medicine since my childhood days from first hand experiences of my mother, a pediatrician, my father, a cardiologist and my grandfather, a family physician. As I grew older the dinnertime discussions about the human heart and its complexity further stimulated my curiosity and left me with a strong desire to learn more. I feel the most fascinating aspect of cardiology is its strong impact on human lives. it is a field where on one hand you can significantly change the outlook of a healthy individual by prevention strategies and on the other hand you can treat life threatening emergencies like arrhythmias and heart attack!
What I want my patients to know about me:
I want my patients to know that I like to spend enough time during each visit to listen to their issues and make them understand their disease and treatment plan to the best of my ability. I enjoy teaching healthy life habits and make goals that will help them live better. I do not hesitate to get a second opinion from my colleagues if it is necessary. I believe in honest practice and I hope to bring a strong work ethic.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
I love spending time with my wife and my two young, wild boys! I enjoy visiting friends and family. I enjoy travelling and eating various cuisines. I am passionate about the game of Cricket and I have a newly found interest in American Football!
