Why I chose to pursue a career in medicine:
I had a fascination with band-aids since a young child and even remember getting them as a Christmas present from my Great Aunt, who was a School Sister of Saint Francis. I’ve always had a desire to help and to help heal. I’m fascinated both by the human body and the medical science behind how the body mends itself.
What I want my patients to know about me:
My career began at Little Caesars Pizza in Bel Air, Maryland, where I met my husband. I utilized tuition reimbursement at Little Caesars to begin working towards my Registered Nursing Degree. I obtained my Associate Degree of Nursing from the Community College of Baltimore County, my Bachelor’s Degree from the College of Notre Dame and my Master’s Degree from York College of Pennsylvania. I also took credits at Harford Community College and University of Maryland. My background as an RN is in critical care nursing (mainly ER and ICU), perioperative nursing and spinal cord rehabilitation.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
When I’m not taking care of patients, I'm busy with my three sons, my husband and my border collie Odin. We enjoy being outdoors, and we decorate ridiculously early for Halloween and Christmas.
