Why I chose to pursue a career in medicine:
I was introduced to massage therapy through a recovery regimen after a car accident. Amazed at the newfound strength bodywork gave to my healing, I decided to go into the massage field. It has been almost 20 years since entering the massage profession, and I am still as passionate about my profession and the healing power it can offer to others.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I am a graduate from Baltimore School of Massage, where I received my dual licenses to practice massage therapy in Maryland and in Pennsylvania. I am a member of Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals. I have experience working in a chiropractic and medical setting. My goal is to tailor each massage session in accordance with the patient's needs and requests, personalizing the experience for every individual. I specialize in a therapeutic deep tissue and trigger point massage with the intention of relieving muscular pain and dysfunction. I enjoy working with patients who want to overcome on-going muscular pain and soreness to live a more active life. I spend a lot of time working with patients who suffer from chronic pain in the neck and shoulders, or headaches and migraines as a result of motor vehicle accidents or sports related injuries.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
I am blessed to have a full life outside of work. My passion is being a mother to my two teenage sons and attending their sporting events. I enjoy spending time outdoors biking or walking the trails in York County while listening to Country or Contemporary Christian Music.
