Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:
My interest in medicine started with a love for biology. I love people, and medicine meshed my love of people with my love of biology. My love for the complexity of medicine has only grown over the years, and I truly enjoy being able to explain and describe to my patients how the human body, medications and treatments.
What I want my patients to know about me:
One of the greatest privileges in my life is being able to care for my patients and share some small part of their lives. My ultimate goal is to maximize the health, happiness and safety of all my patients. I am very passionate about everything I do, most importantly about advising my patients and being a part of their healthcare team and decisions.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
I am part of a huge family and enjoy spending time with all of my family. I love to travel around the world, as well as stay here in York and renovate/design properties with my husband. I adore children and can not spend enough time with my many nieces and nephews. I also spend countless hours baking, as that is truly my second passion. On a warm spring or fall day, you will find me biking a rail trail or day hiking.
