Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:
I decided to pursue a career in medicine after receiving compassionate and attentive care during and after my spinal fusion surgery to correct my scoliosis (curvature of the spine) when I was 13 years old. I admired the doctors and nurses who took care of me during that time in my life which ultimately ignited my passion and goal to become a registered nurse. After working as a registered nurse for 7 years, I knew I wanted to continue to grow and expand my knowledge by becoming a nurse practitioner. As a nurse practitioner, I want to provide compassion and quality care to all my patients.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I want my patients to know that I am here to work with them during their visits to find the best possible intervention and treatment for their healthcare needs. I am here to listen to their concerns and will always treat them with kindness.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
During my free time, I enjoy spending it with my husband and puppy. We love trying different types of food, watching movies, and traveling to different areas. Our weekends are usually spent on the road visiting our friends and family who live all over the east coast. Since we’re both in the medical field, it’s important to have a good work-life balance.
