Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:
As a nurse, I loved taking care of and interacting with patients. Working in a hospital, I discovered many patients need help in managing their chronic conditions. I believe preventative care is also an important aspect of health, and that getting to know a patient and what affects their health, whether physical or emotional, can allow for better health outcomes. As a nurse practitioner, I can help patients with all of these aspects on a deeper level, and I can help them achieve their best health.
What I want my patients to know about me:
I love learning new things, especially regarding healthcare and medicine. I also love educating myself and my patients because it promotes better health. My goal is to create relationships with patients and really get to know them and understand them as a person.
What I do when I'm not seeing patients:
My family is very important to me, so I cherish any time spent with them. My fiancé and I, along with our two Great Danes, recently moved to the area, so we are enjoying getting to explore all of the surrounding towns. I also love to be active, spend time outdoors, work out, read (thrillers mostly), travel when I can, and spend time with friends.
